Upon witnessing his son Bronze's exceptional athletic talent, Patrick Mahomes envisions a future star in the making

Patrick Mahomes' son, Bronze Mahomes, is already displaying early signs of potentially continuing the Mahomes family legacy as a sports star. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback recently shared a video of his 1-year-old son attempting a "three-pointer" shot inside their home, and Patrick's enthusiastic reaction speaks volumes about Bronze's budding athletic talent.

The video, posted on the night of the NCAA men's basketball championship game, shows Patrick Mahomes cheering with excitement as Bronze lines up his shot. Bronze, however, appears nonchalant about his impressive skill, immediately chasing after the rebound while his dad continues to cheer him on.

Patrick's cheer of "three" not only references the shot but also playfully nods to his son's name, Patrick Lavon Mahomes III, known affectionately as "Bronze" due to being the third of his name and continuing the family's metallic naming tradition.

The Mahomes family boasts a rich history of athletic excellence. Bronze's namesakes include Patrick Lavon Mahomes Sr. (Pat Mahomes), a former MLB pitcher known for his 100 mph fastball, and Patrick Lavon Mahomes II (Patrick Mahomes), the standout quarterback leading the Kansas City Chiefs to multiple Super Bowl appearances and earning two MVP titles.

Bronze's athletic genes extend beyond his father's side. His mother, Brittany Mahomes, achieved success as a soccer star in college and professionally in Iceland before transitioning into personal fitness training and co-owning the NWSL franchise Kansas City Current.

With such an impressive athletic pedigree, Bronze Mahomes is poised for success from an early age. Patrick Mahomes' excitement over his son's basketball skills hints at the possibility of witnessing another great Mahomes athlete emerge in the future.
