On Saturday morning, West Palm Beach rolled out the red carpet to welcome the world's greatest tennis player

WEST PALM BEACH — On Saturday morning, the world's greatest tennis player graced West Palm Beach with her presence.

Serena Williams, a resident of Palm Beach Gardens, made a stop at Ulta Beauty to unveil her new makeup line, WYN Beauty. She assisted shoppers in selecting the right products, engaged with beauty influencers, and shared her insights with young girls in sports during an interview with The Palm Beach Post.

"It can't be emphasized enough. It's your hard work that will get you there. And your dedication," Williams remarked.

With 23 career Grand Slam victories, Serena Williams ranks second among women's tennis players in history. Overall, she has clinched 73 singles titles and 23 doubles titles professionally. Williams holds the title of the most lucrative women's tennis player of all time, with career earnings totaling $94.5 million with the WTA, more than double her older sister Venus, who sits at $42.2 million in earnings.

At 42 years old and boasting four Olympic gold medals, Serena Williams has been hailed as the undisputed "greatest of all time" (G.O.A.T.) in her sport. She retired from tennis in 2022.

Williams' makeup line features skin tints, concealers, lip serums, lipsticks, blushes, eyeliners, brow products, and mascaras, all packaged in a neon green reminiscent of a tennis ball.

Christina Jimenez, vice president of product development for the line, highlighted the inclusivity of the skin tint, available in 36 shades with various undertones, including warm, cool, peach, olive, and neutral tones.

This diversity was crucial for Williams, who struggled to find makeup that suited her while traveling and working with makeup artists unfamiliar with working with Black women.

"For me, it's been a journey of wanting to have something out there that was also long-lasting," Williams shared.

Interacting with customers Alessandro Cardozo (accompanied by his dog, Minnie) and Jacob Lloyd as they sampled different products at the store on Saturday morning, Williams conveyed authenticity and kindness, according to Cardozo.

In response to inquiries about her favorite spots in Palm Beach County, Williams chuckled and played it cool, stating, "You might see me around town because I'm often here, but I'm not giving away my spots!"
