Patrick Mahomes is aiming to win the title of Most Valuable Husband this season. The 27-year-old quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs pulled out all the stops for his wife Brittany's upcoming 27th birthday by throwing her a denim and diamonds-filled bash on Tuesday.
Brittany, who will turn 27 on Friday, shared a series of photos with several friends dressed in theme for the party on social media. In her Instagram caption, Brittany expressed her excitement, saying, "Patrick surprised me with my girlssss and a celebration this weekend and it was THE BEST TIME!"
During the party, Brittany posed with her husband, captioning the sweet shots with, "Always making me feel special."
In a previous interview with PEOPLE at the premiere of his new Netflix documentary series "Quarterback1," Patrick emphasized how crucial Brittany is to his success in the NFL. "I have a great wife. I think that helps out a ton," he said. "She helps me out a ton by taking stuff off my plate."
The couple enjoyed their first off-season as a family of four this summer with son Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III, 8 months, and daughter Sterling Skye, 2½. Reflecting on their offseason, Brittany shared, "Well, getting ready for football season but looking back at our first offseason as 4🥹. Whew it flew by!"
At the premiere of "Quarterback1," Patrick expressed his hope that his children will understand his dedication to his dreams through the new Netflix show documenting his life on and off the field. "I want them to know that they can go out there and chase their dreams and still have a great family at home," he said.
Brittany Mahomes has also spoken out about criticism she faces, stating that she isn't bothered by it anymore.
