The 'Quirky' Fashion Photo Series of Serena and Venus Williams on Harper's Bazaar. Fans Jokingly Suggest 'The Designer Must Have a Grudge Against Fashion'

Harper's Bazaar recently released a series of photos featuring Serena and Venus Williams as the cover stars of the March 2022 edition.

In the photos, the iconic tennis duo appears in various outfits, but the most attention-grabbing is their sleek black swimsuits.

Despite not possessing Hollywood-standard figures, the duo still captivates with their confident demeanor and willingness to express themselves.

For two decades, Venus and Serena Williams have made unprecedented achievements together, becoming the most successful sibling athletes in history. Both have held the world number one ranking in tennis and have won dozens of Grand Slam titles in singles and doubles.

Recently, the Williams sisters have garnered even more attention with the biographical film about their legendary careers, "King Richard," receiving multiple Oscar nominations. The film chronicles their early days under the guidance of their father, Richard Williams.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Venus revealed that they spent most of their childhood training, stating, "So I think, for Serena and I, freedom is surreal. We've never had it," she said.

However, according to Serena, they grew up in a tough environment but did not endure anything unpleasant or an overly strict father. She believes that's why they could play tennis for so long.

Venus also praised her sister, stating, "Usually in a family, one person is great and the other is not as great. I think everyone told Serena that she wouldn't be successful. However, her fearless attitude before matches is something I truly admire. She doesn't settle for second place. She made it clear to me that she would take first place."

Regarding their retirement plans, Venus likes the idea of passing on what they've accumulated. "Serena and I plan to become muscle-building experts after retiring from tennis," she said.

Currently, both Serena and Venus have not officially retired from professional tennis. Serena's most recent appearance was at Wimbledon last summer, but she withdrew from her first match due to a foot injury. Eventually, she skipped the US Open in August 2021. Venus also withdrew from the US Open due to a foot injury.

Last year marked the first time since 2003 that both sisters did not compete in the US Open.
