Renowned seven-time Major champion Venus Williams recently shared her pride in the collaborative project "Copa 71," a groundbreaking sports documentary co-produced alongside her sister Serena Williams and soccer star Alex Morgan.

Beyond her illustrious tennis career, Venus has demonstrated her versatility off the court, notably founding the fashion brand 'EleVen' 17 years ago, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and creativity.

In addition to her fashion endeavors, Venus Williams co-produced the compelling documentary "Copa 71" alongside Serena Williams and Alex Morgan. The film chronicles the remarkable story of the 1971 Women's Soccer World Cup, capturing the attention of audiences worldwide. Recently, Greenwich Entertainment, a US-based independent film distribution company, acquired the rights to the film, amplifying its reach and impact.

Taking to her social media platform, Venus expressed her joy at seeing the documentary showcased in theaters across the country, emphasizing the message that "women can achieve anything, despite all odds."

Directed by James Erskine and Rachel Ramsay and featuring notable footballers such as Brandi Chastain, Elvira Aracen, and Birte Kjems, the documentary offers a captivating glimpse into the historic event. Notably, Serena Williams lent her voice to narrate parts of the film, adding a personal touch to the narrative.

Backing the production of Copa 71 is Westbrook Studios, known for its acclaimed work including the award-winning biopic 'King Richard,' which depicted the life of Serena and Venus Williams' father, Richard.

In other news, Venus Williams is set to make her highly anticipated return to professional tennis at the upcoming BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells next month. Despite not playing competitively since the 2023 US Open, Venus remains determined to showcase her enduring talent on the court. With a wildcard entry secured for the WTA 1000 tournament, Venus looks forward to renewing her legacy at the Palm Springs event, where she has previously achieved notable victories and earned respect for her resilience and skill.
