Working from home with kids requires an Olympic-level of patience — and Serena Williams apparently has what it takes, because she kept calm and cool (mostly) when her daughter Olympia, 6, decided to help with her latest project.
The 23-time Grand Slam Champion posted a video to Instagram captioned, “Shot, directed and produced by @olympiaohanian for @willperform.” In the beginning, you can hear Olympia tell her mom, “Ready, set, go!”
Williams is sitting on a chair, dressed in a tank top. “Are you recording?” she asks her daughter, and Olympia responds with an exasperated “Yesssss!” Then it skips ahead to show Williams talking about a product she uses on her skin. In the middle of demonstrating putting it on her neck, Olympia falls and almost drops the camera.
“Sorry!” she says. Williams jokes, “You seem like the same cameraman that I got rid of!” making Olympia laugh. “Are you the same cameraman that I got rid of?” she asks again. With a giggle, Olympia responds, “No!”
At one point, Williams says this product will help her relax because she’s “exhausted.”
“How are you exhausted?” Olympia asks as the shaky camera moves all around. Oh girl, we can think of one reason she’s exhausted … actually, with the recent addition of baby Adira, make that two!
Later, Williams asks her daughter, “Are you doing a good job of recording?” She’s not, not doing a good job. (But it’s one of those situations where you get what you pay for, and Olympia is doing this for free.)
“You know what, I need a new cameraman,” Williams says, as she sees the camera going wild.
Olympia makes it to the end credits, where she smiles in her Encanto nightgown. She looks so proud of herself!
